Here are some things Ethan's been up to this summer:
He's found his own personal sandbox inside. I have scooped up more dirt than I ever care to again. How about moving the plant, you say? I've thought about it, then realized I'd have to bend to get it. There's no bending anymore.

Zaccheus is still an instant smile getter.

Ethan's been loving being outside, traveling up and down the sidewalks, running through the grass and trying in vain to play in the street.

Grandma Hull came to visit from Colorado! Ethan had a super duper time.

He's learned how to pull things off of countertops, as well as open drawers and pull things out. I learned that when he was playing with my scissors. Sometimes his forehead suffers for his curiosity, but so far, no major injuries.

Ethan loves other kids, including his friend Lillian, but he particularly loves small spaces to squeeze into. It's a double win when he squeezes into tight spaces with his friends.

Thank you Uncle Ross and Aunt Kylene for this 1975 toy phone that you made me bring home. He actually loves it and plays with it often.

The sprinkler trickle is a popular event this summer. He gets his fair share of wet, but he doesn't mind. He really loves to drink the sprinkler trickle.

Bubbles are a big hit, too. But I really hate bubble matter on my hands, so he just carries the bubble container around and thinks that's how they work. I'm fine with that.
