New Developments

Three months have come and gone and Ethan is really growing. It's remarkable how fast babies learn and develop. If that pace continued during life, we'd all be ridiculously giant and crazy smart. I can imagine what that would be like since I'm working two out of the three. I've got giant and crazy, but I'm falling short on the smart. Nothing a little YMCA membership, less sugar and working through the classics (read: the Bible and Jane Austen) won't cure. Let's hope. I'm beginning to wonder how long one can wear stretchy pants after a pregnancy with any validity. I'm really hoping the answer is a lifetime because once you go stretchy, it's real hard to go back.

Enough about me, here are some new Ethan-isms for your enjoyment:

"If you suck on your finger long enough, it starts to taste like a blueberry pop-tart. I'm serious."

"I don't care if I am only three months old. These legs were made for walking, and that's just what I'll do."

"My favorite recipe: one part thumb, one part whatever material is near my mouth. Mix it together with a string of spit and voila! Snack-time!"

"Is that a chicken in a green-ruffled bikini behind me? Who makes these things?"

"I don't know where these things came from, but they probably would be best suited in my mouth."

"I love these new skin-colored toys. A little lick here...delicious!"

"Tastes like chicken."

I'm pretty sure I got away with the stretchy pants for quite awhile... we just moved away so no one saw them ;) I agree with the once you go stretchy it's hard to go back. You get so used to it and it's just so darm comfy!
